Clients
Fontana Energy Associates prides itself on its client list, which includes both renewable and clean generation firms. Some of our key clients are listed below.
First Solar
First Solar is a leading manufacturer of thin-film PV solar panels and is very active in the development of large-scale utility solar projects. Fontana Energy Associates is currently supporting development and permitting for First Solar for over 700 MW of solar generation projects on both public and private land. Fontana Energy is working closely with First Solar’s developers to manage the large teams of experts involved in the required environmental surveys, preparation of environmental documents, negotiation with involved agencies, and public outreach. First Solar is at the leading edge of large solar farm development and is breaking ground in how these facilities are designed and permitted. Federal and state policies for these thousands-of-acre sized projects are in flux, so managing relations with regulatory and public stakeholders is critical. Fontana Energy Associates plays an integral role in assisting this work.
Macquarie Energy
Macquarie Energy is subsidiary of an international company with interests in a diverse range of energy projects. These include conventional and renewable power generation assets around the world. Fontana Energy supports Macquarie's efforts as part of their due diligence team and provides support to permitting and development activities. We recently assisted in the development and permitting of a 300 mw natural gas plant in Delaware.
Southline Transmission Project
Fontana Energy Associates is supporting the permitting process for the Southline project, a 220-mile long high-voltage transmission line. This project will make it possible for new generation facilities to be built in places otherwise located too far away from customers, and to improve overall grid reliability. Such long, linear projects cross many jurisdictions and so involve numerous federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. The Southline project has applied to the Bureau of Land Management for right-of-way and will soon begin environmental and engineering surveys, public outreach, and preparation of environmental impact studies. Fontana Energy Associates will work closely with our client in this complex and critical effort to coordinate with federal, state and local agencies in Arizona and New Mexico.
